Zoning Permits - Temporary and Portable Signs

Temporary signs are defined as: A sign not designed for long-term use; and a portable sign is considered a temporary sign designed to be moved easily.

The following temporary/portable signs do not require a permit:

Note: Temporary signs shall not be attached to fences, trees, utility poles, or the like; and shall not be placed in a position that will obstruct the vision of traffic or create a hazard or disturbance to the safety, health and welfare of the public in any manner. Temporary signs are required to be setback ten feet from all street right-of way lines and no signs are permitted in any street right-of-way.
