News Release - Plain Township Ohio Power Electric Aggregation Program

Opt-out letters will be mailing to current and newly eligible accounts in the AEP (Ohio Power) portion of the electric aggregation program the week of January 12th. The Township's current fixed rate of 4.78 cents/kWh for electricity generation will continue until the March 2025 meter reads. − More Information

Stark County Crisis Center Hotline

The Stark County Crisis Intervention and Recovery Center is available to help individuals and families with needs 24 hours a day. The phone number is 330-452-6000.

Donate Your Old Eyeglasses

Have a pair of old eyeglasses? Donate them to someone in need by dropping them off at Township Hall.

Parks & Recreation

Veterans Park Dog Park Closed

The dog park at Veterans Park will be closed beginning February 21 for annual maintenance and rejuvenation. The dog park will reopen at the beginning of May, weather depending.

2024 Concert Series Tickets Available

Tickets for the 2024 Concert Series at the Plain Township Legacy Park Amphitheater go live Thursday, January 11, 2024 at noon. Tickets can be purchased at www.plaintownshipamphitheater.com only. − More Information

North Canton YMCA Fit & Fabulous with Carly

The North Canton YMCA and Plain Township have partnered to bring you this amazing class for Active Older Adults. It focuses on increasing muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. − More Information

Parks Shelter Reservations

Reserve, pay, and print your permit for Parks Shelter Reservations online. Please go to the reservation site to create an account, login, select your shelter of choice, make a reservation, and pay online! The site is not mobile friendly, so you will need to use a computer to make a reservation. Please be aware that at Diamond Community Park in the months of April-June and August-October, parking may be an issue on Saturdays due to programming in the park.

Message from the Board

Plain Township Offers Full Concert Series at Legacy Park in 2024

The Plain Township Board of Trustees is pleased to offer a full 2024 Concert Series of ten exciting shows at the Legacy Park Amphitheater on Thursdays between June and August. The series will begin on June 13th with Michael Cavanaugh and the music of Billy Joel. On June 20th, The Motown Sounds of Touch will pay tribute to some of the best songs of Motown. June 27th will bring 10-6, a Bad Company Tribute to close out the month. On July 11th, the concert series will return with Brian Duprey and his Frank Sinatra Tribute Show. On July 18th, Boston Tribute - Rock ‘N Roll Band will play the stage. July 25th will close out the month with Northeast Ohio favorite, The Vindy’s playing an original catalogue of music. On August 8th, Plain Township welcomes Uncaged, a Zac Brown Tribute Band. August 15th will bring Boy Band Review: A Tribute to Boy Bands that will sure get everyone dancing! Elton Rohn, A Tribute to Elton John will play the Legacy Park Amphitheater on August 15th. Closing out our 2024 Concert Series on August 29th will be E5c4P3- A Journey Tribute. Make plans now and purchase tickets early! They are going fast! All concerts begin at 7 pm.
